So I've been hanging out at my kitchen sink hoping that I could talk to some coworkers. Things like: how the audiobook business is going, what's new with AI and is it about to take over the industry, can you believe what happened on 90 Day Fiancé? You know, important stuff like that.

But of course, I work from home and there's no one to meet me at my kitchen sink. And if someone DID meet me at the kitchen sink, I'd be all sorts of creeped out.

So the audiobook industry may not have a water cooler, but we do have the internet. Mostly we congregate virtually on Facebook or Twitter, but for me, sometimes those platforms are deep soul-sucking black holes. Wouldn't it be cool if we had another places to talk shop, show what we can do with audiobooks, and have a little interaction?

I'm hoping Erggo can do this for us. I'll be posting some updates here and some random blogs and my demos, in the hopes that someone out there is listening. And someone wants to work with me. Or at least talk about what I should watch on Netflix when I'm not in the booth crime fighting/falling in love/committing murders/creating a diet to change the world/ reciting words of love.

Until then...

Here's a fun fact about me. I've recorded about 800 books over my decade long career, and was curious to know how much time I've spent performing.

So I added up all the hours of all the audiobooks I've narrated over the years, and my total run time is...5,396 hours and 45 minutes!!!

What does this mean?

It means I've spent 224.86 days reading nonstop.

Actually, because it takes 2 hours of narration to create one hour of polished audio, I've actually spent 449.72 days nonstop IN THE BOOTH! With no bathroom breaks. Being a narrator is hard work. Can you relate?

Looking forward to having some free time to chat with my colleagues.
