Life's been good to me so far
My parents had a sense of adventure. In 1968, they didn't hesitate to move to the Dominican Republic when I was two years old; my brother was born there, and I learned Spanish and English at the same time. When we returned when I was four, my kindergarten teachers had a heck of a time with my blended communication style.
Ten years later, we moved to Bolivia, and for three years we explored that country, along with Peru.
These experiences, particularly the latter one at such a memorable & impressionable time in my life, set me on a path of understanding and appreciation for exploration, culture and creativity. That fomented a love of performance, and working with other "creative types" in theater, radio, and voiceover. I 'discovered' voiceover in 1989, and for the next 20 years my work in radio as a creative production copywriter/producer, and on-air talent, brought lots of opportunity for not only growing my understanding of commercial voiceover for radio, but working closely with clients and other VO talent. It also landed me in beautiful Southern Oregon, where I've lived since 1997.
In 2009, I became a full-time voiceover artist, and what an adventure it has been! Let's discuss what your project is all about, I'll lend my voice on a short bit of your script to "dial it in", and maybe I'll have the right sound and style for you.
