I started narrating on reel to reel at The Library of Congress Studios when I was in grad school (late '80s) have pursued a career in the regional theatre and have been a working actor ever since. Built my home studio around 2013 and began narrating from there in my off times. Favorite genres are hard to pick b/c I've narrated in so many and love it all. I think I'm a particular asset in multi-cast productions (of which I have done many) Mine is not a "popular" voice type, but I can connect with the material and deliver the intentions like nobody's business. Interests and accomplishments outside of the acting world ... more include undergraduate degrees in Biology/Dental Hygiene. Became a tenured professor at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry before leaving that world to enter another. Master of Education and Master of Fine Arts Degrees in Theatre. I'm an outsider artist, and an avid exercise nut, swimming, running, walking, and yoga. I love plunging into the cold pool (50-55 degrees) after a workout. I've done lots of jobs with gusto (waiting tables, lawn mowing, babysitting, telephone sales, house cleaning, teaching little kids to grad students, professional dancing, clowning, and performance art....anything is possible. Everything is a learning experience. Most important to me is that I can promise that I am reliable, skilled, and responsible in all I give myself to. I've studied with Johnny Heller and Sean Pratt. I am usually cast in Cozy Mysteries, Biographies, and Literary Fiction. less
