Description
About Erika

Performing at theaters across California, Erika has had the pleasure of playing such iconic roles as Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire (opposite her talented husband, Brent Schindele), Belle in A Christmas Carol for 10 years running at the Tony award winning theater: South Coast Repertory, with the incomparable Hal Landon Jr. as Ebenezer Scrooge, as well as Georgie in Heisenberg and Lisa in Collected Stories (Desert Theater League nominee for Best Actress) and the historic Martha Jefferson in 1776 (for which the show won an LA Weekly award). Also, at South Coast Repertory she originated the role of Helen in the ... more World Premiere of An Italian Straw Hat and has been on their stage every year in the last decade. She has also worked along side Ms. Gretchen Cryer in her West Coast Premiere and revival of I’m Still Getting My Act Together at Laguna Playhouse. Erika began her narration journey in YA novels, but continues to tell all kinds of stories. She loves nothing more than losing herself in a good Chick Lit, Romance or Historical Fiction. Her extensive background in theater helps her create exciting and unique worlds and specific, heart-warming characters. Her classically trained soprano lends itself to finding the musicality of accents and tones of various types of narration. Erika received her BA from the School of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA. She is a long time member of the Actor’s Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA and AGVA. She also enjoys the chance to mentor other artists and has choreographed, directed, and coached middle and high schools around LA and Orange County. Beyond acting, Erika enjoys learning new things and has been studying American Sign Language and learning to play the violin. She is an avid runner and a yogi. And most excitingly, a mom to sweet Jack. less
