I love words! That includes solving the most difficult word games, creating my own crossword puzzles...and, when I'm narrating, staying true to the author's words and attitudes. Naturally, there's a lot of left brain going on there - not a surprise, since I have a degree in math and spent much of my radio career as a journalist. There are few subjects I don't know at least a little about [don't challenge me at trivia!]...so that serves me well narrating nonfiction. Still, I also light up the right brain! Without imagination and empathy, I could not have been such a successful air personality on DC and Baltimore radio. ... more Often the best fiction genres for me involve solving puzzles - as in mysteries and sci-fi. [Could I be your missing puzzle piece?] My audio production background means you'll get pristine audio from my home studio. Because of my math/science expertise - plus my long experience in Washington DC (a native, actually) - I am at ease with both scientific and bureaucratic jargon. I studied French for seven years - so I am comfortable with the language, though not fluent, and have an excellent accent. I possess a variety of other talents - from juggling and origami to video production and song parodies. While they don't seem directly applicable to audiobooks and other VO, these activities do show that I am driven to create. Let me create something wonderful for you! less
