About Amy
From heartfelt to vengeful to highly rational narrators, from pre-teens to wizened protagonists, I love voicing characters who wield spells, blasters, data, or vulnerability to explore the human experience and create better worlds. I’m drawn to literary fiction, women’s fiction, middle school, YA, fantasy, sci-fi, thriller, self-help, and business.
I have narrated for Hachette, Penguin Random House, John Marshall Media, Lantern Audio, and Learning Ally. You can also find my work in Audible under my pseudonym Cassandra Alling. I was Valorious Award 3rd Place for Best Science Fiction Voice Acting, and 1st Runner Up

My voice is warm, soothing, textured, versatile, and articulate, honed teaching college freshman, answering phones, and performing on Off-Off-Off Broadway stages including LaMama, HERE Arts Center, the Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center, and the Park Avenue Armory. With my background in new play dramaturgy, I narrate with trust in a writer’s vision, a probing and curiosity-driven close read, and a deep connection to story and scene structure. As a Fulbright scholar, Danes showed me how to perform at eye level, not looking down on but alongside young audiences.
I’ve worked with Elise Arsenault and have taken classes with Anna Garduno, Paul Liberti, Amanda Quaid, Nic Redman, Voice Actors of NYC, and the Linklater Center for Voice and Language. I am a member of APA.
I also love to visit gardens and parks, to interview, to compose, to dance on piers or in my living room, and to explore New York City.
