Description
About Rebecca

Rebecca Stern has a voice that has been described as expressive, articulate, song-like, and evocative of warm bourbon. She holds a deep love (obsession) of linguistics and the art of the spoken and written word. As a child, she was a voracious reader and continues to read out loud to anyone who will listen (frequently the cats,) in a wide range of genres from historical fiction, sci-fi, horror/mystery, and poetry to non-fiction of any kind. A professional orchestral violinist for over 35 years, Rebecca has a well-tuned ear for taking direction and learning accents and dialects. Her years as an Oncology Massage Therapist ... more and Hospice volunteer lend not only a comfort with the vocabulary of the medical world, but also a warm, calming voice that just oozes bed-side manner. In whatever time is left over, she practices meditation and yoga, as well as hiking, biking, and exploring all the natural beauty of the Idaho home she shares with her husband and their two cats…and as many jumping spiders as she can rescue from the cats. There is always something new to learn and discover out there… less
