A lifelong New Englander, I grew up between an indie bookstore and an antiques shop. Storytelling, in all its forms drew me to cobble together a patchwork of studies in radio, television, and writing. I was a radio host and costumed tour guide before launching a long-term career in academia. I came to audiobook narration as an avid listener and long-time dabbler in vocal performance. My previous experiences working in counseling and course instruction further fuel my delivery, which is equal parts empathetic  and authoritative. Forever bookish, I have a fondness for magical realism, memoirs, feminist works, and ... more anything featuring dogs or witches. Dark coffee, darker chocolate, and the art of sarcasm are among my muses. I’m a waker upper of teens, architecture aficionado, and collector of poorly maintained houseplants I can’t remember the names of. Someday I’ll get to the pile of books on my bedside table. less
