Smith's CALL ME ATHENA was recognized with the 2022 IPPY gold medal for Best Fiction Audiobook.
She is a true melting-pot American with Mediterranean, Eastern European (Ashkenazi), North African (Mizrahi), and North Western European heritage. She is learning more every day about living with ADHD and Anxiety, and enjoys voicng characters that share her neurodiverse experience. She loves to engage in conversations about life experience, heritage, and identity.
Her favorite genres to narrate are Middle Grade & Young Adult contemporary fiction, Literary Fiction, Historical Fiction with a Feminist angle, and empowering Non-Fiction.
She has a passion and penchant for dialects, has narrated several titles in various accents from the U.K. & American South, and is always keenly willing to do the work to pick up new dialects for characters in her work.
When she is not exploring the globe, performing, she lives in Queens with her partner and their french bulldog Edith, where she can be found watching British Television, listening to (and singing) Folk, Americana, Classic Rock, Jazz Oldies, crafting, journaling, and -- in stereotypical millennial fashion -- attempting to achieve some balance in life by enjoying biodynamic wine, locally-sourced food, and a daily yoga practice.
