I’m an avid reader and have always been a fan of reading books aloud, even when I wasn’t being paid for it, but thankfully I’ve made a living off of voiceover work for the past four years. I got into voiceover through commercials and have voiced campaigns for many brands including Holiday Inn, Subway, Coca-Cola, and Sports Authority. I love the challenge of bringing a fifteen second spot to life, but with a background in acting I longed for a longer form narrative that would give me more freedom to perform. Enter audiobooks… I’ve narrated thirty books under my name and the pseudonym Greyson Ash. I use a p ... seudonym because I still do a lot of commercial work and want to differentiate between the two and, full disclosure, I’ve read primarily romance titles under my pseudonym. I’d like to start narrating more non-fiction (preferably self-help), mystery, thriller and, my all time favorite, chick-lit. I feel very lucky to have a career as narrator and welcome the challenge and thrill of bringing a book to life for a listener. Being a SAG/AFTRA member, I look forward to being paid union rates, forming new relationships with publishers, and delving into genres I haven’t narrated yet. Studio Set-up: I have a Studiobrick, which is one of the top sound insulation booths, with a Neumann TLM 102 Microphone and Apogee interface. This set-up allows me to turn professional sounding narration around quickly and efficiently.
